Going Green 20 After an initial brief and introduction in which the environmental crisis is summarised, the group is split into teams. Teams are shown how to ‘carbon calculate’ their own effect on the environment. The teams are then sent to different activity zones to take part in ‘green challenges’. According to their performances in each zone, teams are awarded between 1 and 3 ‘carbon credits’, which they will require for the finale. The number and type of challenges undertaken is flexible, and we can tailor specific green challenges to suit your objectives, audience or requirements. Able to last anything from 2 hours to a full day, Green Berets is a customised, quick fire event – simply choose your challenges and start on the road to ecological awareness. Suggested challenges The Race to Recycle Teams race to sort rubbish for recycling. The teams could be instructed to ‘make a new green bottle’, and an accurate amount of rubbish needed to make the item should then be added to the correct recycling bins. Reuse and Repair Presented with a variety of household objects, teams are challenged to create completely new items. For example, with some old pieces of wood, a skateboard and some paint, your challenge is to construct a bedside table… How does it work? Climate Change Team Building Games
